- Approval of March 2026 Meeting Minutes & April 2026 Agenda:

A. President (Martin Martin): - Range is doing well. More and more consistent numbers. 10-15. May need to get more RSOs registered.
- Range use time numbers to the USFS.Range Permit Renewal Status: N/A
B. Vice President (Bruce Speirs):
1. Saturday, May 2nd 10AM. WSC Annual Board Meeting Workshop
A. Need Items for discussion by April 20th
B. Location – Ramada Inn 10AM – 1PM.
2. WSC “Contractors Listing” – see attachments. Speirs member of Lake Havasu Sportsmans Club. They have other members that are contractors or offer services, IT, construction, etc. Solicit those members to assist or work with WSC. Reese – need permissions from owners, Topell – Worry about our tax status. Clauer – the businesses would/wouldn’t benefit from us due to our 501c7 status? They would not as we are a membership organization. No action, subject dropped.
C. Secretary (Sonya Clauer):
- Recap of Williams Rendezvous Meeting from Friday, March 13th.
A. Due to the limited size of the location for Buckskinner Park, may need a backup location. White: Concerned about the safety and limitations at Buckskinner. Martin: something to consider, get more details. Clauer: Will bring it up to the committee.
D. Treasurer (Mark Middleton):
1. Balance – $21,217.23 – CD $5,163.28 – Deposits $2,275, Debits $199.17..
6. Board Reports:
A. Membership Reports (Middleton/Topell):
- 11 New members, 489 total.
- Sent out several renewal reminders. After 3 months, we drop them off of the roster, 50 so far.
- We are consistently increasing. The end of the year drop off has leveled out which helps our incoming cash flow. Speirs: Sometimes we get seasonal lows, but when we advertise or table at an event, we pick back up. Topell: Family memberships have surpassed the Seniors Memberships numbers.
B. Budget Committee Middleton/Topell:
Received most of the information needed.
C. Sporting Clays (Bill Townsend):
1. Next Shoot April 26th. Already have sign-ups.
- Currently 5 signed up for 10AM, 3 signed up for 1PM. March: 7 attendees at 10 am, 11 attendees in the afternoon.
- Woodchips were donated. Bill will work on spreading those this weekend.
- 3 throwers broke. Sheldon White: Could use materials we already have. Bill Townsend: Would rather wait for FNRA to help fund these things anyway. Jeff Reese: Need to get to work on the grant. Opens in June. Martin Martin to swing by in the afternoon to talk to Bill Townsend. Materials list discussed.
D. RSO Cadre Status (Reese):
- RSO Class Saturday, April 25th.
- 4 RSOs with Lunch $170.
- Martin Martin: As we continue with our permitting, it would be helpful to make sure our RSOs are NRA Certified. Offer the training to those that are not. Bruce Speirs: Moving forward the USFS is asking that all our RSOs are NRA Certified. Martin Martin: Add it to the budget planning meeting. We need to pay for our current RSOs to obtain that NRA Certification status. Jeff Reese to report back how many RSOs are already certified.

- Committees Reports:
A. Webmaster (Swearingen absent: Jeff Reese presented): - The newsletter and meeting minutes need to be published on the website.
- Facebook: +4,600 views and a lot of activity from the Ladie’s shoot posts. 16 ladies signed up, capped at 20, the biggest class we’ve had so far. May 16th. WSC to donate the books, they pay for the membership and we refund them.
- A lot of good feedback about how much people enjoy the club and how it is run.
- Sheldon White: Motion to pre-purchase 40 handbooks, no more than $1,000. Seconded by: Tim Topell. Motion Passed.
B. Tactical Firearms Challenge (Cannon):
1. Saturday, March 14th had 7 attendees. Next shoot is April 11th.
2. Sheldon White: What is the process of cancelling due to rain? Martin Martin: That is up to the RSOs on duty to make those decisions.
C. Range Maintenance Team (Martin Martin: Mayernick absent):
1. Canopy for the Leo Bay (Sheriff’s Bay) was installed today. Covers the whole thing, should work out great.
2. Martin Martin: Will schedule a range day for maintenance/clean up. Gongs look good. Reese: When we need cardboard, Old Trails has offered to donate.
3. Topell: Entrance road is getting washed out. Who do we contact for that? Martin Martin: The City. Sonya to forward contact info to Martin Martin.
- Unfinished Business:
A. Williams Range Users Group: Next meeting date, Google calendar status.

B. ICOR shooting proposal. No update. Tabled. - New Business (Motion for Presentation, Second to Discuss, Vote to approve or reject):
A. Tim Topell: Sale of range brass 645lbs – $1,480. 6 month’s worth of brass. We are a few hundred pounds ahead of schedule. Randy Ford from Gunfighter Canyon is the buyer.
B. Jerry Smiley. Selling his property soon.
